Has God ever spoken to you through His Word? If so, what has been your response?

Yes God has spoken to me through his word. Mostly to correct me. For example, the other day I did not want to pick something up off of the floor. I was going to walk right passed it. Some strong thought came across me like, "You better quit being lazy and go pick that up". I have a lot of those moments where it is like a dad voice correcting me. Stern, but loving and serious.
